How can I order a cake?
  • If you would like to order a cake, please fill out an enquiry form which can be filled in on the contact page of the website or you can click here. Please give me as much information as possible so that I can give you an accurate quote. Once you have received a quote, I will then send you a link for you to pay your deposit. We require a 50% deposit upon booking to confirm your date.
What cakes can you make?
  • All of my cakes are custom and therefor I am happy to make any cake in reason.

Can you work to my budget?
  • To a degree, yes. Instead of a custom party cake, I can do boxes of cupcakes or individual sugar cookies and other small items. There is always a way to make the event/occasion special without splashing out on the cash!
Do you cater for allergies?
  • Yes, I cater for all allergies but we are a kitchen that also handles all allergens. Every effort will be made to sterilise all equipment before and after use but there still maybe traces left behind.
Are you registered and insured?
  • Nixies' Bakes is registered with the TVBC and I am fully insured!
How long have you been in business?
  • Nixies' Bakes has been in business since January 2019.
What is your EHO rating?
  • We hold a 5* hygiene rating.
I don't know what I want, can you help me design it?
  • Of course, that's what I am here for. I love working with my customers to make sure I know exactly what they want and that we're on the same wavelength. We can work with as little information as possible and try to figure out something together.
How much notice do I have to give to place an order?
  • Please give me as much notice as possible as some dates tend to get booked up very fast, especially weekends!
Can I cancel my order?
  • Once you have paid your deposit, unfortunately, it is non-refundable. 
How long will my cake last?
  • Your cake will always be made the day before you collect. As soon as you receive your cake, please place it within an airtight container to make sure it stays fresh. I always recommend you consume your cake within 48 hours. Please remember that as this is a home-made cake, the shelf life is not the same as a mass-produced supermarket cake.
Can I have my cake delivered?
  • Yes, We can personally deliver you cake to you at a cost of £0.75 per mile. Mileage is calculated from our studio, to your location and then back to the studio.
Can I make alterations to my cake once I have ordered?
  • Minor details can be made, yes. For example, the flavour, colours and minor decorations. If there are major alterations, extra charges may apply.
How do I pay for my cake?
  • Currently, all payments are taken via a monzo link/Bank transfers. Cash is accepted if you are collecting your cake.
Do you offer tastings?
  • I offer tasting boxes at a price of £18 per box. This will include a variety of 6 different flavours in the form of cupcakes.
